Gum Disease Laser Therapy
We routinely check adult patients for signs of gum disease and gingivitis. We do a thorough check of periodontal health status at our New Patient exam and then screen patients for signs of inflammation and active disease at recall visits. When indicated, we offer scaling and root planing periodontal treatments to remove the accumulated calcified deposits and to clean under the gum in order to encourage healing. Sometimes these procedures can be accomplished without anesthetic or with minimal non-injection type (Oraquix) which is simply dispensed into the gum. These non-surgical treatments can help the diseased gum tissues return to a more healthy state which can be maintained with regular office visits. This evidence-based treatment protocol addresses an important dental need for many patients and reduces infection.
A fresher and cleaner mouth makes for a happier and healthier dentition with more reasons to smile.
